Brenda Fedoruk has been a member of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and is currently Principal Flute with the Vancouver Opera Orchestra and Flute and Piccolo with the National Broadcast Orchestra. She was a member of the orchestra for Vancouver productions of Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera, among others, and a member of the touring orchestras for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the National Ballet. Ms. Fedoruk has recorded for commercial film and television projects and has been heard in recital on CBC Radio. An active chamber musician, in addition to the Turning Point Ensemble, Ms. Fedoruk has participated in concerts presented by West Coast Chamber Music, The Old Schoolhouse Sunday Concerts, Silk Purse and the Hornby Island Music Festival’s “Decade of Decades” series.
Brenda Fedoruk teaches at the University of British Columbia, Capilano University (where she conducts the Capilano Flute Choir), Vancouver Community College and is Head of Woodwinds at Douglas College. She is in demand as an adjudicator and clinician. Ms Fedoruk's first CD, I Remember, featuring repertoire for flute and mezzo-soprano was released in 2009 |
